Slither Heroes - Proof of Concept
I needed to take a little mental break from working on Puzzle Crossing so I started playing around with another idea for a game. It's not super original but I wanted to make something with a little more action so I landed on a snake like action rpg hybrid after watching my son play slither.io.
Anyhow, as I poked at it over the last couple of months I decided to get it cleaned up for a public release to see if the concept is appealing at all. I have a lot of ideas for where I could take it but I want to finish Puzzle Crossing first and then come back to this and see if there is any interest.
Top of mind ideas are to add things like more interesting maps (of course), rescue/escort type missions, a more strategic overworld (persistent heroes, maybe something like a Battle Brothers type of overworld), some story driven levels, etc..
Anyhow, it is back to finishing Puzzle Crossing. I got some good experience with other game mechanics, refining some of the reusable game components I took from my Puzzle Crossing and most importantly, it reinvigorated me to keep working on games.
